The recent challenges faced by the offshore wind industry have reinforced the need to use data, insight and technology to make better technical and commercial decisions. This is particularly critical at the early stage of project development, meaning developers, consultancies and financial institutions need advanced, holistic modelling with high quality and reliable data. Building project scenarios quickly, with higher accuracy, can be critical to success.
The agreement sees Westwood, through a seamless integration, provide proprietary data from its WindLogix platform that can be used directly in the Youwind engineering and financial modelling platform through the cutting-edge applications Pixel+ and OptiWindow. Youwind users will have instant access to a superior and timely global dataset on leases, projects, key components and vessels, which can be benchmarked and used as modelling inputs. This provides a stronger foundation from which to analyse scenarios with greater reliability and insight than ever before, enabling more informed decision-making and optimised project planning in the rapidly evolving offshore wind industry.
