SEG – Electromagnetic Data – Why is Industry Ignoring the Evidence?
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), hosts this free to attend webinar session featuring a keynote presentation from Westwood’s Head of Global Exploration & Appraisal, Graeme Bagley.
During the session, Graeme and co-speaker Lodve Berre from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) will discuss the topic “Electromagnetic Data – Why is Industry Ignoring the Evidence?”
“Electromagnetic (EM) data acquired more than 39 prospects in Norway that were subsequently drilled over the nine-year period from 2011–2019, showed that the presence of an EM anomaly increases the chance of a commercial success. On the other hand, there were no commercial discoveries made on prospects where an EM anomaly was absent.”
