Starting his career as a Commercial Analyst for Corus, David swiftly moved to BP where he was a Regulatory Advisor for their European Gas Trading and LNG Team. David then moved to Mott MacDonald as a Senior Consultant before, in 2011, joining the EMEA Gas & Power consulting team at Wood Mackenzie.
During David’s time at Wood Mackenzie and Verisk he went on to hold a range of diverse and impactful roles such as Executive Manager to the CEO / Group President, Director of the UK & Europe Commercial Underwriting business, and latterly he was a Director in Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Transition consulting division, growing the Power, Renewables, EV and Emerging Technology sectors.
He has a degree in International Management and German from the University of Bath.
Combining over 15-years of experience across Europe, North America and Asia, Thom has supported over US$10 billion of M&A and debt raising activities across a range of oil & gas and renewable sectors.
In addition to his daily responsibilities, Thom is a recognised thought-leader and keynote speaker at energy conferences around the globe as well as a frequent commentator on macro oil market trends for major media outlets such as CNBC and Channel News Asia.
Thom is a law graduate from the University of Kent where he also received an MA in political sociology and has been based in Asia since 2011.
With over a decade of experience under her belt as an analyst and product manager in the energy industry, Teresa returned to Westwood Global Energy Group following a previous four-year tenure working across the suite of rig intelligence services.
Alongside her legacy with the Group, Teresa brings considerable expertise from her time at IHS-Markit and Esgian (Bassoe Offshore), predominantly focused on the offshore rig market alongside several years’ experience tracking the subsea vessel and accommodation rig markets.
Teresa was heavily involved with the development of an offshore rig emission tracking and estimating product in her previous role.
In June 2018, Alex joined Westwood Global Energy Group as Client Manager for the company’s Northwest Europe focus. He is currently responsible for client engagement, retention of business as well as new business development across the UK, Norway and the Netherlands. He works closely with the research, consulting and the wider sales teams to drive growth.
Alex is fluent in Norwegian and has a Bachelors in Geography from Keele University.
In 1990, Barry joined ODS-Petrodata as a Sales Administrator, he was quickly promoted to Sales Executive where he had responsibility for sales for the EMEA region managing their entire portfolio of products for the offshore rigs, marine and subsea markets. Following the acquisition of ODS-Petrodata by IHS in 2011, Barry become Account Manager for large E&P and service companies, managing accounts such as BP, ENI, Repsol, Saipem and Subsea7. With the subsequent IHS merger with Markit in 2016, Barry was responsible for all Upstream energy services for UK and Netherlands companies.
Prior to joining Westwood Energy in 2022, Barry worked for Esgian for 3 years where he had the role of Global Sales Manager responsible for their entire rig and wind suite of products to a wide range of clients from oil companies, drilling contractors, service companies, OEMS and financial institutions.
After gaining experience working in the drilling markets, Jennifer joined the offshore experts at ODS-Petrodata. Her tenure was spent covering the Americas region as an offshore rig market specialist, working as editor for the Gulf of Mexico Rig Report and contributing editor to RigPoint and Petrodaily News.
Driven by a desire to help offshore energy companies achieve business goals and market success, Jennifer moved into business development roles and then product management for Petrodata, IHS Markit and S&P Global Commodities Insights. She is ready to use her years of experience and energy market knowledge to ensure the success of all current and future customers of Westwood Global Energy Group.
She started her career with Landmark Resources in Trinidad and Tobago, then after completing an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience at University of Aberdeen she joined Ikon Science as a QI Geoscientist in London. In 2010, she joined MPX, a small UK North Sea explorer, before moving to international operator, GDF Suez/ ENGIE in 2012 and then to Woodside Energy in 2017.
In 2020, Shereen began expanding her skills beyond O&G Exploration Geoscience with an MBA in Sustainability and Energy Transitions. She subsequently joined Hartree Partners Middle East, as a Senior Strategy Consultant to National Oil Company clients.
Shereen joined Westwood Energy in December 2023, she is based in Dubai and has responsibility for managing the Global E&A accounts and growing the business line.
